About the director
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada Mark Jacobs' unique style and demeanor are what makes his projects compelling, inspirational, full of emotion and to date... successful. Having spent 25 years in the television and film industries, his experience as a director, producer and journalist has made him a sought after professional. Mark has traveled around the world tackling a variety of projects while working for major networks and motion picture companies. His in depth experience in producing, directing, cinematography, lighting direction, editing and development have earned the respected recognition from his peers with over fifty different industry awards.
Marks recent directorial accomplishments have been Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay (FOX), Beverly Hills 90210 (FOX), Obsessed (A&E), Rob and Big (MTV), I want to work for Diddy (Vh1), The Two Corey's (A&E) and Breaking Bonaduce (Vh1). Soon to debut; Dad Camp and The OCD Project for Vh1.
Mark met Jesse in 2002 and captured his life story over the course of 7 years. During the formable years of Life Rolls On, which Jesse and his brother Josh created, Mark produced numerous short films about the organization and Jesse's accident. Those films help to shed light on what the organization is all about. Life Rolls On is one of the most respected non profits at the forefront of Spinal Cord Injury support, research and awareness. In August of 2009, Life Rolls On merged with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation creating the West Coast Headquarters.
